An American soldier guarded the Interior Ministry in Kabul, Afghanistan, after two Americans were killed inside on Saturday.

KABUL, Afghanistan — Two American officers were shot dead inside the Interior Ministry building here on Saturday, and NATO responded by immediately pulling all its advisers out of Afghan ministries in Kabul, in a deepening of the crisis over the American military’s burning of Korans at a NATO military base.
The order by the NATO commander, Gen. John R. Allen, came on the fifth day of virulent anti-American demonstrations across the country, and it was a clear sign of concern that the fury had reached deeply into even the Afghan security forces and ministries working most closely with the coalition.
On Sunday, the Interior Ministry said in a statement that it had identified a suspect who had fled and was “believed to be an employee of one of the departments of the Interior Ministry.”

Dr. Norman Spack is director of one of the nation's first gender-identity medical clinics, located at Children's Hospital Boston, and he believes labeling children with "gender-identity disorder" a misnomer, based on research that suggests about one in 10,000 children may have brain differences more similar to the opposite sex. But other physicians say it is harmful to put young children through irreversible treatment too early. (See earlier story)
The Endocrine Society endorses trans-gender hormone treatment with guidelines that say such action should not be taken before puberty begins, at which point puberty-blocking drugs are introduced until a child turns 16. Those are followed by life-long sex-changing hormones. Dr. Spack's Gender Management Service clinic averages about 19 patients each year.

What possible reason would the IRS have for Tea Parties to “name your donors” when said donations are non-deductible? These are just a few of the questions asked by the IRS in these letters, and one cannot help but suspect an intrinsic threat encompassing all these demands.
The other question is the timing of these IRS letters requesting reams of copies and hundreds of hours of work and potentially thousands of dollars in accounting/legal fees (all due in two weeks). Some of these Tea Party groups have not received anything concerning their nonprofit status since 2010 prior to these letters.
These documents are further undermined by a letter sent to the IRS Commissioner Shulman. Signed by six Senators, it requests that the commissioner investigate 501(c)(4) groups to determine whether they are engaging in substantial campaign activity, including opposition to any candidate. Who signed this letter? Senators Schumer, Franken, Udall, Shaheen, Whitehouse, Merkley and Bennet — all Democrats.

Mitt Romney: Rick Santorum might win the Michigan primary
Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney on Tuesday conceded that his main Republican rival, former Pennsylvania U.S. Senator Rick Santorum, may have a chance at securing a victory in the Michigan primary.
“I think the hardest thing about predicting what’s going to happen today is whether Senator Santorum’s effort to call Democrat households and tell them to come out and vote against Mitt Romney is going to be successful or not,” said Mr. Romney. “I think Republicans have to recognize there’s a real effort to kidnap our primary process. And if we want Republicans to nominate the Republican who takes on Barack Obama, I need Republicans to get out and vote and say no to the dirty tricks of a desperate campaign.”
Mr. Romney, whom polls show leading Mr. Santorum by a few percentage points, has struggled to secure his lead over the Pennsylvania Republican in recent weeks. Speaking to a group of supporters in Livonia, Michigan, on Tuesday, Mr. Romney noted that his campaign had underestimate Mr. Santorm’s surge in the polls, saying he would continue to work to unite the party ahead of the August Republican convention.

Mitt Romney: Rick Santorum might win the Michigan primary
Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney on Tuesday conceded that his main Republican rival, former Pennsylvania U.S. Senator Rick Santorum, may have a chance at securing a victory in the Michigan primary.
“I think the hardest thing about predicting what’s going to happen today is whether Senator Santorum’s effort to call Democrat households and tell them to come out and vote against Mitt Romney is going to be successful or not,” said Mr. Romney. “I think Republicans have to recognize there’s a real effort to kidnap our primary process. And if we want Republicans to nominate the Republican who takes on Barack Obama, I need Republicans to get out and vote and say no to the dirty tricks of a desperate campaign.”
Mr. Romney, whom polls show leading Mr. Santorum by a few percentage points, has struggled to secure his lead over the Pennsylvania Republican in recent weeks. Speaking to a group of supporters in Livonia, Michigan, on Tuesday, Mr. Romney noted that his campaign had underestimate Mr. Santorm’s surge in the polls, saying he would continue to work to unite the party ahead of the August Republican convention.

Exit polls show Romney won over Arizona and Michigan voters on economy, experience
WASHINGTON – Mitt
Romney drew strength from Republican loyalists and all but the most
conservative voters on Tuesday to claim victory in a grueling GOP
presidential primary in his native state of Michigan, an exit poll of voters showed.
Rick Santorum was bolstered by the most
ardent conservatives and people whose political views are strongly
colored by their religious beliefs, the survey showed. But with Michigan
viewed as a solid opportunity for the former Pennsylvania senator to
weaken Romney's candidacy, Santorum failed to win more than a modest
margin among blue-collar voters -- those without college degrees --
despite wooing them with populist, made-in-America fervor and his
grandfather's coal miner roots.
Romney, the former Massachusetts governor,
also cruised to an easy victory in Arizona's GOP presidential contest by
winning across nearly all categories of age, income, education and
ideology, exit poll results showed there.
