Conservative website publisher and author Andrew Breitbart has died. He was 43.
“With a terrible feeling of pain and loss we announce the passing of Andrew Breitbart,” a
statement
on Breitbart’s BigJournalism.com said early Thursday. “Andrew passed
away unexpectedly from natural causes shortly after midnight this
morning in Los Angeles.”

“We have lost a husband, a father, a son, a brother, a dear friend, a patriot and a happy warrior,” the statement said.
Joel Pollak, editor in chief and in-house for Breitbart.com, confirmed the news to The Blaze in an email.
The Associated Press reported Breitbart was walking near his house in
the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles shortly after midnight when
he collapsed.
Someone saw him fall and called paramedics, who tried to revive him,
his father-in-law Orson Bean said. He was rushed to the emergency room
at UCLA Medical Center where he died.

of new media mogul Andrew Breitbart,
who died early in the morning on Thursday,
there has been a surge of vile commentary spewing across the

they are content the pundit has passed, the messages are disturbing at
best.

AMERICAN SPECTATOR: Andrew Breitbart R.I.P.
The Los Angeles County coroner's office will review the death of
conservative blogger Andrew Breitbart, who collapsed and died Thursday
while taking a nighttime walk near his Westwood home.
Given his young age -- he was 43 -- and the unexpected manner in
which he died, authorities will conduct an autopsy to help determine a
specific cause of death.
Breitbart's father-in-law, actor Orson Bean, said in an
interview with
The Times that Breitbart was found collapsed near his home about 12:30
a.m. Paramedics took him to Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, but
doctors were unable to revive him.

What I admired most about Andrew was his willingness to be the
lightning rod despite criticism from both the left and the right. He was
the lightening rod and when lightening struck, Andrew used the
brilliant flash of light to direct everyone’s attention to precisely
what he wanted them to see. He was a master at it. The attention he
garnered was never about getting attention for himself, but using the
attention to tell the story and share the news he wanted told and
shared.
This brilliant ball of energy has gone dark. My and our shared
prayers are for his family, friends, and colleagues who will miss his
friendship, leadership, and no doubt as I have more than once received,
his 3 o’clock in the morning (Eastern Time) phone calls from the Los
Angeles Freeway on his way home to his wife and kids that abruptly end
when he gets pulled over by the police for using his cell phone while
driving. But you never had to worry. He’d call and wake you back up
around 4:30 to apologize for having called so late. I speak from
personal experience.

Mediaite, here’s the hotly anticipated answer to the lingering question raised by
Breitbart’s CPAC speech.
No, he wasn’t just messing with the left’s head when he said he has
tapes of The One in his younger years. They exist, says Bannon, and he
and some of the “Big” guys like Joel Pollak and Larry O’Connor are going
through them. They must be near the end of their review too if Bannon
can promise them as soon as 10 days from now. Obviously there’ll be
organizational upheaval for them to deal with in the days ahead,
especially with a new Breitbart site set to launch imminently. Watch to
the end for a hint about that; supposedly it’s been in the works for two
years and AB was putting the finishing touches on it last night in
preparation for a Sunday launch. I assume it has to do with Obama and
the election, but stay tuned.

Updated at 10 p.m. ET: Tornadoes swept across the
Midwest and the South on Friday, hitting hardest in Indiana, Kentucky
and Ohio, where at least 28 people were killed. An entire town was
flattened in Indiana, and homes and businesses were destroyed from Ohio
to the Gulf Coast.
Fourteen people were killed in Indiana, 12 died
in Kentucky and two people were killed in Ohio, said The Weather
Channel on its website, weather.com. It wasn't immediately clear how
many people were missing.
The town of Marysville, Ind., population about 1,900, was "completely
gone," and Henryville Junior-Senior High School was destroyed, Clark
County sheriff's Maj. Chuck Adams told NBC News. All the students

For over 20 years, I have illustrated the absurd with
absurdity, three hours a day, five days a week. In this instance, I
chose the wrong words in my analogy of the situation. I did not mean a
personal attack on Ms. Fluke.
I think it is absolutely absurd that during these very serious
political times, we are discussing personal sexual recreational
activities before members of Congress. I personally do not agree that
American citizens should pay for these social activities. What happened
to personal responsibility and accountability? Where do we draw the
line? If this is accepted as the norm, what will follow? Will we be
debating if taxpayers should pay for new sneakers for all students that
are interested in running to keep fit? In my monologue, I posited that
it is not our business whatsoever to know what is going on in anyone’s
bedroom nor do I think it is a topic that should reach a Presidential
level.
My choice of words was not the best, and in the attempt to be
humorous, I created a national stir. I sincerely apologize to Ms. Fluke
for the insulting word choices.
The Drugster often does more harm than good for the RepublicRAT Party..they should denounce him when he becomes sometimes highly offensive.
Now will he apologize to minorities, the handicapped & others????? He's too big...in many ways of course, but should be suspended...and as I've predicted over on the now closed Salem; he'll see more than his recent 33% drop in listeners..and to this blogger NO big loss.
